With a length of 345 metres and a gross tonnage of more than 182,000, the Carnival Jubilee is one of the largest cruise ship in the Carnival fleet and can accommodate over 6,600 passengers.

The third ship in Carnival’s XL class offers passengers everything they could wish for; great entertainment, beautiful relaxation oases and a diverse selection of restaurants. The ship’s unique design and signature amenities include a three-storey atrium that overlooks the ocean on the starboard side and serves as an entertainment venue at night.

The Carnival Jubilee is the first cruise ship built in Germany for Carnival Corporation & plc, the world’s largest cruise company operating over 100 ships. As the third ship in the Excel class that was built by the renowned MEYER WERFT – the Finnish MEYER TURKU already delivered the Mardi Gras in 2020, followed by the Carnival Celebration in 2022 – it is equipped with a low-emission LNG system, and energy efficient HVAC systems.

Air-conditioning alone can account for 30 to 40 percent of the energy consumption on a cruise ship. Insulating technical equipment with elastomeric materials is one of the simplest and most efficient measures for saving energy. Armacell flexible insulation materials are dust- and fibre-free and can be installed neatly, easily and quickly – even in tight spots on the ship.

Armaflex’s system solutions include pipe supports, fire barriers and a new generation of innovative adhesives. We know the ropes and provide application training, on-site support and expert advice at every stage of the project.

Cruise ships require almost as much energy for air-conditioning and refrigeration as for propulsion. These lightweight insulation materials improve the energy efficiency of the equipment for many years to come. These Wheelmark approved solutions provide long-term protection against condensation and energy losses and reduce annoying noise from pipes.

ArmaFlex Evo:

Technical equipment must be protected against energy losses and condensation. Only closed-cell insulation materials effectively prevent moisture from penetrating the insulation material, providing the equipment with long-term corrosion protection. Thanks to its unique combination of technical and application features, AF/ArmaFlex offers superior performance at lower total installed cost. The materials are flexible and easy to install, even when space on board is limited.

Armafix;

If the pipe is not thermally insulated from the bracket, pipe hangers create a potential weak point in the insulation system. Our ArmaFix AF pipe support product provides maximum reliability. This system solution is coordinated with the respective insulation range and can be installed more quickly, neatly and easily than standard clamps.

What’s more, the pressure-resistant PET load-bearing segments are made of recycled PET bottles and help to conserve natural resources.

ArmaFlex Protect:

To prevent flames and smoke from spreading in the event of fire, firestop penetrations through bulkheads and decks must be professionally sealed off. By combining the proven properties of ArmaFlex with an intumescent component, ArmaFlex Protect guarantees reliable fire safety in all B-class bulkheads without the need for any complicated additional measures. Furthermore, the product is certified for use in all A-class divisions.

ArmaClad Arma-Chek Juna:

In areas subject to greater mechanical stress, technical insulation should be covered to protect it against damage. Armachek June is a flexible 2-in-1 system that can be installed in a single step and substantially reduce the installation time. Thanks to its low bulk density and outstanding tear strength, the Arma-Chek Juna product is ideal for marine applications and can be used on combustible and non-combustible pipes. The material is UV-resistant and thinner thicknesses can be specified thanks to its highly absorptive black surface.
